On Thursday, June 22nd our colleague Ms. Shivaun O'Connor retired. We wish Shivaun well in her retirement. Shivaun helped to raise our first Amber flag
Our Junior and Senior Infants visited the Old Rectory, Croom for their school tour. They had great fun baking, meeting all the animals and playing games.

As part of Wellbeing Week 6th class held a bake sale in aid if Pieta House. We were delighted to hand over a check for €1146.76 to Pieta House. Well Done
Our Wellbeing concluded with our Feel Good Friday. We had our 'Drop Everything and Dance', Easter Egg hunt and finally our poster winners were announced.
As part of Wellbeing week Thankful Tuesday, the children enjoyed fruit skewers and smoothies. A soccer tournament for 5th and 6th class also took place
3rd and 4th class were delighted to experience the Raincloud in a glass experiment which demonstrates how evaportion,condensation and precipitation works.
We wish to congratulate Rayhan in 2nd class who has spent the last 2 weeks writing his own book on his favourite character Puss in Boots. Well done Rayhan
3rd and 4th class conducted the pencil in the bag experiment which shows what polymers do to a plastic bag when a hole is punched in it.All went home dry!
The annual CSDCU quiz took place on Saturday, January 28th in Salesian College Pallaskenry. Well done to our U11 and U13 teams who took part on the day.
Ballysteen GAA U21 football county champions visit to the school
We were delighted to receive a visit from some of the Ballysteen U21 county champions 2023. Some of this team are past pupils of our school. Well done!
On Monday,December 19th 2nd Class paid a visit to Abbot Close Nursing Home and performed their Nativity play and delivered Christmas cards to the residents
As part of Anti-Bullying week our pupils wore odd socks to school as an opportunity to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and uniqueness
All pupils enjoyed the Halloween celebrations in the school. Our non uniform day was in aid of the Cliona Foundation. We wish to thank all who contributed.
